Quad
bikes are available as an option for the corporate or hen/stag parties.
Ride/Obstacle
Once the basic
skills are mastered it's off for a thrilling ride through undulating woodland-
trails, dips, climbs and tight turns. As confidence increases so does the pace.
Lightweight 250cc sports quad bikes are used on real woodland tracks, with
enough mud, jumps and climbs to keep your pulses screaming. Quad bikes are like
a Motocross bike but with four wheels instead of two and these have sports auto
gears so they are extremely easy to ride. You don't have to be a motorcyclist to
get your leg over one of these machines.
(Coming Soon) Trek
If it is something more competitive
you are after then this is the quad biking experience for you as you will be
head to head racing around the challenging off-road track.
Hold on a second though, before you get revving the motor, you'll need to get
kitted out with overalls and helmets and then there is a safety briefing and
introduction to driving the quad bike.
This is a great activity for groups as 4 drivers are allowed on the trek at
once, so there is plenty of time for swapping and racing each other and the
event can be run as a team or individual challenge. Each driver is on the bike
for around 7 minutes at a time (because believe us, it's exhausting!) with total
session time being around 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours depending on the total group
size.
The location for this event is superb - with a purpose built quad racing tracks
set in 60 acres of countryside. Usually the race takes place on the main field
track, which boasts an abundance of grassy banks, undulations and twists - will
you be able to negotiate them all? If it is very muddy, drivers will be racing
on the long track which is a real test of endurance and bottle.
When it's game over on the race track, you can relax in the Lounge with plenty
of refreshments. |
